Poppler may need for the company. Mr. Poppler must realize that the com-any may be able to use a CBT but at a cost that is affordable for the retail store and his employees. The second challenge will be getting the training to all of the forty employees. Since he has a multiple of store the CBT training would be needed at all stores so that the stores have connecting information on all items that are sold in both stores. Mr. Poppler’s challenge would be trying to get all the employees in a training area and on that would allow all of the employees to train at the same time. If Mr.

Poppler cannot have the training done at one time he will face the challenge of multiple trainings that would cost the company time and money. This would impact the store by having an additional cost of getting employees to train and as well as getting extra employees to take the place of the employees to work at the time the other employees are training. The biggest challenge would be cost efficiency in getting the programs installed and having the time and money to train all employees on the new system. What limits are there on use of the CBT in retail management? Are there any retail skills that cannot be taught using a CBT?

The limitations of a CBT can vary by the type of employees that are being trained on the computer –based training. The limitations can vary from the true contemporary based knowledge that one gets out of the CBT and the effectiveness of what one can learn out of the CBT. One of the major limitations is a follow-up assistance that will allow for the retail company to check bases with the employees to really see if the employee understood the training. If the employee was still having trouble the employee can use a follow with any question some may have after the fact that the CBT training is over.

Many times the CBT are more like traditional teachers who get straight to the point and do not follow up with any question and answer forums. Another limitation would be the attention span if the employee. The limitations would be that an employee will not last long in a CBT if the CBT does not hold his or her attention. The last limitation would be the fact that the CBT will need to provide other information such as a guide to help the retail management in case an emergency shall arise. The guide will help the retail manager refer to the problem and get the problem solved in a timely manner.

If the CBT does not come with a manual it is hard to refer back and remember all procedures needed in fixing a problem. A CBT can have its limitations but it cannot teach one to know the exact ins and outs of the program. The CBT cannot tech one to be hands one with the program. The CBT will only teach the basics for learning the system. Where would the CBT be most effective at the company? Why? The CBT would be most effective in the company all around. A CBT can be effective by achieving competency in the work that the employee does.

A CBT can also build the confidence of an employee once the employee has learned the system through a CBT. A CBT can be beneficial in many ways. The biggest issue is getting the employees to learn by the CBT and allowing the employee to gain confidence with learning the information to provide a better self awareness for the company. The CBT will allow for the confidence so that the employee can do task such as asking for a customer’s zip code in order to input the information to see where purchases are being made and by whom the purchases are being made by.

This will allow for the retail store to bring in items needed by the store depending on if it is bought by a local customer or not. A CBT can also help out the Business by allowing the training to be more of a one-on-one training or a small group training giving one the feeling of being able to understand the system in a better manner than a lecture or a presentation. How would you determine the cost-effectiveness of a CBT system? One can determine the cost-effectiveness of a CBT system by the progression of the company.

The first progression would be made by the staff itself. Once the staff is comfortable with the system one can be confident and rely on the system to do the systems job. Once the system is in place the cost-effectiveness can also be seen in the way that the retail store is progressing. The progression of the store can determine if the CBT was worth the money. The cost-effectiveness can also be seen if the CBT if the company is fulfilling the needs such as inventory status and getting the information for local buyers to non-local buyers.

The company was looking for a lot of insight on being able to rely on the system. The system would be beneficial to the company because it will bring up production and allow the company to grow with the needs of the customer as well as the needs of the store. Another thing is that the store will see the cost-efficiency right away as long as the system is being used correctly. the effectiveness of the store will always be determined by the way the system is used and if the employees use the system for what it is designed to do which is o maintain the stores effectiveness. .
