Club IT

Today IT is considered to be the backbone of industries. Organizations use IT to exploit new distribution channels, create innovative and differentiated products, and deliver value-added services to customers. Companies use information technology to acquire, process, store and distributing information using computer based tool (King, 2006). IT is critical in innovation and business competiveness. IT provides access real time information that will support them decision making process.

Role of IT department

 IT department in an organization aims to provide information technology tools to enable them to achieve their business goals. IT provides a business with appropriate solutions that will assist them in achieving their business goals. Mission of club IT is to offer live music, DJs, dance space and refreshments to their customers which suit their lifestyle. It aims to build a community that meets regularly at Cub IT.

Introduction of IT in Club IT will enable them to manage information about their customers, products and employees efficiently and accurately. It will integrate information from all departments and enable them to carry out detailed analysis of information and to evaluate their performance in a more accurate manner. By using IT- based tools managers will be able to seek cross functional and cross business opportunities that will strengthen the company’s competitive advantage. IT enables activities will allow club IT to meet predetermined set of goals with minimal cost and tune their objectives to the changing needs of its business environment. (Viklund & Tjernström, 2008)

Role of IT in Data Management

Information management is a core component of any organization. Information technology is used for creating and maintaining an authoritative, accurate and reliable data that represents a “single version of truth”. For club IT the data about its customers, products and employees is foundation to business processes which is usually widely distributed and critical to the organization. It provides organization with tools to manage their data in a better way. The primary clientele of Club IT are music lovers who enjoy music with dance, people who love to socialize and need some lively place to relax.  Managing this data using IT enables activities will enable them to use data analysis tools to better evaluate their prospective customers and guide them towards future steps they should take to improve their performance. (Viklund & Tjernström, 2008)

Club IT with the help of information technology will be able to manage important information about their customers like about their purchase history, frequency of visits etc. This information will assist them in their marketing campaign in targeting right group of customers. Analysis of the information will provide them ways of differentiating their products and services according to the sort of customers they have and to attract new ones (Todd & Gareth, 2001). This activity will eventually result in acquiring profitable customers and retaining the existing ones. Furthermore, it will enable to generate economic value by offering product that customer prefer over its competitor.  But using IT for data management security is one of the matters of concern. Data management using IT requires some security measures. For that Club IT should use software that promises 100 percent security from data loss. They will further be enhanced by using passwords to avoid any unauthorized access. These passwords will maintain integrity of their important data.

Role of IT in Decision Making Process

Information Technology has its importance in decision-making process. IT enables managers and employers to make quality and accurate decisions with little information that is relevant. If managers do not have accurate and complete information, they may end up making poor decisions.  IT tools using their predefined set of procedures for processing the data and judgments assists managers in their decision making process and provide them with complete and accurate information. There are number of tools available like data mining tools that enable managers to extract relevant data from data warehouse( large pools of data) and use appropriate data analysis tools to analyze data in better way and come up with an appropriate or best decision.

In Club IT before IT implementation, what executives and managers have in hand is raw data of their employee, customers and products which is of no value. To convert raw data to a valuable one, it has to change to information. Managers use this valuable information to solve the problems, provide the best alternatives, and make opportunities and progresses to their business. Using effective Information Technology tool executives, managers, and decision-makers can receive valuable information. Thus the implementation of IT will bring about new and improve ways to gain most accurate and valuable information efficiently.

Conclusion

Information technology is important as it’s a tool to help and support the efficiency and effectiveness of data management and decision making process. IT will assist Club IT to gain a competitive advantage and achieve its objective in a better way. With IT implementations Club IT will be able to integrate information from all departments and that will assist them in carrying out detailed analysis of their performance.  This detailed data analysis will enable them to improve the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns and providing their customers with differentiated and innovative product and services leading to customer satisfaction. Thus IT brings about differentiation, innovation and operational efficiency in an organization resulting in higher profits and growth.
